Penne Rigate
Ingredients
- 1 box Dreamfields® Penne
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey breast
- 1 ½ cups chopped onion
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 5 cups chopped fresh Swiss chard, stems removed
- ½ cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
- Juice and zest from one small navel orange
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup chopped toasted walnuts (optional)
Directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Cook ground turkey, onion, garlic and orange zest until turkey is just cooked through, stirring to break up turkey.
- Add Swiss chard, broth, orange juice, salt and cayenne pepper. Cook about 5 - 10 minutes until Swiss chard is wilted and sauce begins to thicken, stirring occasionally.
- Drain pasta. Add to turkey mixture; toss and cook 3 - 5 minutes until pasta is well coated.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and walnuts, if desired.
